PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS, Ottawa, Ontario – As you can see, the architecture inside the Parliament building was as spectacular as on the outside. In the Centre Block, the library was the only room not destroyed in a big fire which broke out in 1916. The library was my favorite – a giant domed room with outcrops of intricate and detailed hand-made, wood-carved end pieces, and tons of beautiful, rich-colored wood everywhere, including the wood parque’ floor.
