HOPEWELL ROCKS – The high ocean tides here have carved the Flower Pot Rocks, pillars of sandstone and conglomerate rock with balsam fir and dwarf spruce growing on top. At high tide, the rocks resemble islands, because the tide comes in at 53 feet and covers all but the tops of these formations; at low tide, you can walk along the entire 1.2 km. beach, around and through some of these formations, which resemble skinny necks with hair.
